The narrative of this house arises from its position in the attic of an old building in Ciutat Vella: a space of only 50 square meters, but almost entirely surrounded by terraces that are articulated on two levels and offer a scenographic view of the domes of the old city.

On the lower floor, the entire space is articulated around a large room that functions as a living room and office, connected unambiguously to the kitchen; and that can be converted into a guest bedroom with two simple movements of custom-designed furniture.

On the upper floor, a bedroom with “suite pretensions” faces a perfectly oriented terrace, surrounded by greenery.

On each floor, a large terrace to enjoy the good weather of Barcelona, allow us to live the apartment beyond its constructive limits. The frenetic pace of tourists is not perceived from up here and the cross ventilation brings a comfort uncommon in the center of Barcelona.

In our constant search to achieve a perfect harmony between the soul of the place and the people who live in it, we have prepared a white canvas that envelops the space in all its magnitude. Some bare walls and the dressed structure remind us of the age of the property and the vicissitudes through which it has passed. The chromatic palette is completed with grays that sometimes turn bluish and touches of natural wood that give warm details of light.
